If you look around, we are bombarded by real estate information: Newspapers, real estate websites, emails, flyers, postcards and by word of mouth through friends and family.
One area in which people engage on their own for real estate are real estate websites such as Zillow, Trulia, Homes.com, Yahoo Real Estate, etc. These sites can be great for information, but often they can give too much information that won’t necessarily be specific on your needs. Also they won’t interpret the data, leaving an incomplete picture. This is where local representation with an agent comes in. And you don’t necessarily want the the first agent you see on the website who more often than not, paid to have their picture there. Do you know their qualifications, will they have the experience, will they service you?
With the information these real estate websites provide, they can create an impression that the public can do it themselves or use any agent (as many real estate search websites see agents as interchangeable).
So why do you need an experienced agent? Just a few of the many items…
